Between Family and Tradition.
The “making of wine” goes back as a long family
tradition with the Fischers. The Fischer Wine Estate, one of the so-called
original houses in Sooß, has been a family property since 1662.
Already at the turn of the century the Fischers owned a tavern for the
sale of new wine, which was closed in the 1930s and reopened in 1974.
Everyone helps in the enterprise today. Veronika Fischer,
the wife and mother of four daughters, watches over the buffet and the
marketing of the wines. The children help at the buffet and by serving
when there is need for an extra pair of hands.
Engelbert Fischer, the senior head, former mayor of Sooß,
loves above all his work in the vineyard.
Which only leaves the wine – and Christian Fischer makes that.
