Burgundian Red and White Wines
With strong white as well as rich St. Laurent’s and fruity Pinot Noirs, the Thermenregion nowadays fulfils its former designation as “Burgundy of Austria”. Our commitment to the white wine sector focuses on the autochthonous varieties Spätrot, which is also known as the Zierfandler, and Rotgipfler, which is often referred to as “white wine of Burgundian format”. In addition to a selected assortment of Burgundy varieties in red and white, another focus of our wine production is Zweigelt. A red wine that has a great tradition in the Thermenregion and appreciates the climatic conditions with us.
Verjus
For a few years now, we have been producing a particularly fruity Verjus. During the thinning of the vines in August the still green grapes from the Zweigelt, Blauer Portugieser and Pinot Noir are harvested, pressed and verjus processed. In addition to Verjus PUR, there is also the ready-to-drink Verjus FRIZZ, a popular alcohol-free variant to Frizzante & sparkling wine.
We Are Organic!
Over the last decades, the wines have been constantly developed and perfected in their own independence. Since 2013, the Fischer winery has been officially certified as organic. For many years now, the vineyards are taken care of in a way to preserve the fertility of the soil and ensure its recovery through crop rotation.
